The Coconut Grove Art Festival was incredible, colorful and encompassed a large section of the main streets of the town. What seemed like a lock down for the residents of the Grove was in fact a huge income producer for the town. I think we can live with a little bit of inconvenience for the sake of art and revenue. The locals have it down to a science by now anyway, and I should have followed suit. I heard friends say to go on Monday because there is significantly less foot traffic. We, however, went on Sunday around noon and there was barely room to walk among the tents. Gia and I weaseled our way around to get a view of some of the most spectacular pieces. Here's what we liked!

| Using a potter's wheel and drawing his inspirations from nature this artist had some cool pieces! |

| Who doesn't love yard art? Even if you don't have a yard, it's pretty cool! |
 |
| This jewelry artist gave us some great ideas for wire wrapping! |

Last but definitely not least these lovely ladies. Overall, the Art Festival was music, food and art that left nothing to be desired. It was great fun and I think next year we will volunteer with the festival, get in free and rock those cool volunteer shirts!

Love the sculpture of the "ladies" - I resemble those gals! Thanks for posting the photos of the arts. I miss that sort of stimulation down here in Roatan. Wire-wrapping is going to be one of the Wednesday crafts this summer for sure!
Miss you guys - Terry
